Innovating and reinventing ourselves are two terms that are becoming increasingly relevant, especially in the globalized and technological world in which we live. We are immersed in the era of digitalization; we practically breathe technology. Being at the forefront means existing in the cloud, and I don't mean “daydreaming” or, as we colloquially say, “living in the clouds,” but rather to design our systems to function based on cloud architectures, to migrate organizations' operations to cloud infrastructure, and thus to enhance our professions by acquiring knowledge and certification in cloud-related topics.
This is how my experience in this field began. As a systems engineer with a successful professional career, the time came when I decided to take a different approach, leave my comfort zone. Fortunately, I had the honor of being selected to be part of the AWS Re/Start program, a partnership between Amazon Web Services and the Compensar Employment and Business Development Agency, where for 13 weeks I immersed myself completely in the AWS cloud, exploring a wide variety of services through hands-on labs and comprehensive content, a wide variety of services, learning concepts and best practices in the framework of good architecture. It was during this immersion that I confirmed what the next step in my professional career would be: I chose to become a Cloud Solutions Architect, contributing ideas that revolutionize the way things are done, helping to provide digital and self-managed experiences to customers, proposing and designing architectures that leverage the evolution of companies and their applications.
And it is precisely cloud architecture that opened the doors for me at PersonalSoft, a company that has pleasantly surprised me and with which I identify due to its interest in the comprehensive growth of its employees, as well as its values: excellence, respect, integrity, commitment, and trust, which are very important pillars for me, not only professionally but also personally. This is the beginning of a stage with significant challenges that allow me to develop my full potential, acquire new knowledge, and contribute from my experience to create solutions focused on clean and evolutionary architectures.
This is how I fall more in love with my profession every day because it is so versatile that, from different angles, it allows for constant learning, with multiple facets that converge at a common point: innovation in and through technology, with a dynamism that combines curiosity to explore new paradigms and the excitement of being an active part in the design, development, and implementation of solutions that positively impact our environment.
It is very satisfying to be part of the women who participate in the world of technology, who enjoy and are passionate about what we do in our day-to-day roles, contributing to the consolidation of a more balanced society that offers opportunities for growth to future generations and opens new paths to reduce the gender gap, inspiring other women to see technology as a fascinating universe where they can navigate without limits and be in constant contact with adaptation to change, because undoubtedly the speed at which the world is innovating is a challenge brought about by the fourth industrial revolution.
